In today’s world, there are many demands and time is precious with activities, obligations, and distractions. Why start training in Aikido when there are so many other things to do?

Aikido can help with overall fitness, strengthen the body, and develop focus and discipline. More than that, however, Aikido is a path to understand who you are and how you relate to others and to situations around you. It is a way to become strong, yet compassionate, be motivated by mutual benefit, learn to work with others, and to deal with situations in your life openly and confidently. It is a way to find peace in the world both inside and out.

“The purpose of training is to tighten up the slack, toughen the body, and polish the spirit.”

— Morihei Ueshiba O-Sensei, Founder of Aikido
